Make a ponytail and twist the hair clockwise. A rubber band is optional but I recommend using it for slippery hair.
Twist the ponytail clockwise around the center. Give the length a couple extra twists as you wrap.
Push two fingers through the center of the hole in the bun and grab the loose hair.
Pull all the hair through the hole. Use your free hand to hold the bun in place close to your head. This will make a knot on top of your head.
Insert hair stick by pushing toward your head and weaving it back out the other side. Note: if you used a rubber band, you can insert the stick through the band, making the style more secure.
Insert the second hair stick from the other side. For added interest to this style, the loose hair can be curled, crimped or straightened.
If you do not have waist-length hair, try this style using only your crown section of hair. Curl, crimp or straighten shorter, loose strands to achieve a glamorous look. Good luck! And remember - practice makes perfect.
