Part the hair from ear to ear, take the top section and divide into four equal strands.
Take the far left strand and weave it under strand two, over section three, and under section four.
Take the original far right strand and weave it under the middle strand, and over the next strand, working your way to the left.
Pull the strands tight, and continue holding the two left-most strands, while you prepare to insert the long clamp.
Insert the clamp next to the second strand from left (see arrow); be sure that the clamp is anchored tightly at the top. The bottom part of the clamp will grab some of the strands to the right - this will hold them securely. You can insert the clamp so it either goes under or on top of the right hand strands.
