Legolas' Braided Hair Style

This hairstyle is the one worn by Legolas in the Lord of the Rings. A pretty hair fork was used to embellish the top to create a more feminine touch.

Step one. Using the Inside-Out French Braid, braid two tiny sections of hair on each side of the head over the ears. Take the remaining hair from the front and crown area and make a herringbone braid down the back. Follow the instructions for the herringbone braid here, but omit using a rubber band to tie off the top.

Take the two rope braids and tie them into a bow under the braided bun and secure with a hairpin that is adorned at the end with a piece of ribbon. Take a large ribbon and tie it around the braided bun to hide the hair pins.
